The mystery of the Virgin Mary's perfection and splendor remain hidden from the sight of this world because she is God's Secret.
Mary was deeply humble and the Scriptures are silent about almost all the details of her life. Yet, no other human creature is like Mary, or could claim to have received all the amazing privileges that God granted her forever, on this earth and for eternity.
No other human creature is more universally known, admired, more praised in songs and invoked by both the holiest and the most famous from all nations as well as by the multitude of sinners...
We can often discover God's plan for the Virgin Mary through the outpouring of praise and admiring love of theologians, saints, Doctors and Fathers of the Church, which the latter has been able to clarify, lifting a part of the veil on Mary's infinite election.
Thus,
- her unique divine election ("O Mary, well before creation, you were predestined in the thought of God to cover him with our flesh." St. Bernardine of Siena);
- her Immaculate Conception;
- her unique participation in the mystery of the Eucharist and the Holy Trinity (as the Daughter of the Father, the Mother of the Son and the Wife of the Holy Spirit);
- her power over God's heart ("A single sigh from the Virgin Mary gets closer to God than all the supplications of all the saints joined together.");
- her universal and educational maternity;
- her unique capacity to obtain God's salvation and mercy...
The more one enters into the contemplation of God's plan for Mary, the more one discovers that it is associated, although in a unique and veiled form, to the three great mysteries of the Christian Faith: the Holy Trinity, the Incarnation and the Redemption...
