Forty-six Votive Masses in Honor of Mary

Forty-six Votive Masses in Honor of Mary

Liturgy was renewed in the wake of the "Sacrosanctum Concilium" constitution of the Second Vatican Council. Among many other new additions, the Roman Missal was enriched with many votive Masses in honor of the Virgin Mary. On August 15, 1986, a Marian Missal was published in Rome, updated according to the standards of Vatican II, entitled "Votive Masses in Honor of the Virgin Mary", and ratified by John Paul II. This missal contains forty-six votive Masses dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
