St Ildephonsus of Toledo (607-667)

Ildephonsus was educated in Seville, became a monk and then abbot of Agli (Agalia), and finally archbishop of Toledo in 657. He standardized the Spanish liturgies, and wrote a "Book on the Virginity of Mary." He wanted to be a servant of Mary because her Son is our Lord. To the Virgin of the Annunciation, he asked for the Spirit of the Lord. He admired the mystery of the Incarnation, a miracle realized for us.
